WASHINGTON - Sept. 24, 2015 - PRLog -- Actress/Activist Kitra Williams (Tyler Perry’s “Dairy of a Mad Black Woman”, TD Jake’s “Woman Thou Art Loosed” and Oprah Winfrey’s “The Color Purple”) with son Jayrah Gibson (Co-Founder of America’s First Million Youth Peace March and former American Idol participant), join alliances with Award Winning Actor/Writer/Director/Producer Tommy Ford (Martin, New York Undercover, etc.), internationally known athlete Choo Smith (Harlem Globe Trotters) and a cadre of other community leaders in making a pact to “Bridge The Gap” between youth,  police forces and community leaders worldwide.  Williams says, “With International Medias depicting ‘Black on Black’ crimes coupled with police killings at the highest levels imaginable, we must aggressively address often ignored issues in our inner-city/urban communities and bridge gaps.”  She continues, “This is not a:   Black, Brown or White problem.  As Americans (human beings), when (1) person loses a life . . . we all lose.”  Confirmed Celebrity/High Profile Speakers are Actor/Ex NBA Player/Model Kenyon Glover and Nationally Known Pastors:  L. K. Floyd, John David Wright, Dr. Gregory Tatum, Eric L. young and Community Activists Rose Monroe and Dr. Rose Solomon round out this power group.  Kicking off the MYPM will be The Agape Awards on Friday, October 2, 2015. This Black Tie and Red Carpet event will showcase original excerpts of youth as they share their real life stories from tragedy to triumph.  This ceremony will be hosted by Ford and Smithand will kick off the MYPM Saturday, October 3rd (10:00am line up at Lafayette Park going to Lincoln Memorial for a 2 hour ceremony beginning at 12:00pm).  Come enjoy the “100 Voice Capitol Hill Multi-Culture Choir” under the direction of Williams.  Youth entrepreneur speakers will be featured and provided opportunities for auditions with Williams and Ford’s future plays and film productions.  Local and National police officers will also be in attendance to discuss realistic methods to assist in “Bridging Gaps.”  There will be Line dancing, voter’s registrations and education on “Mental Health and Wellness.”  The ceremonies will conclude with the signing of a “Peace Treaty” and a shofar blowing tribute to honor the many falling Angels victimize by gun violence.
