Six Ga. High School Seniors Recieve $14k In Scholarships From Make A Difference Foundation, Inc

SUWANEE, Ga. - Sept. 24, 2015 - PRLog -- Make A Difference Foundation, Inc. (MADF), has announced the recipients for the 2015 Charlotte Lemons Annual Student Scholarship (C.L.A.S.S.) Award.  C.L.A.S.S. is a need-based scholarship, ranging from $1,000 to $10,000, awarded to graduating high school seniors throughout the state of Georgia.

The C.L.A.S.S. Award is designed to give students in need of financial assistance the opportunity to further their education at a two or four-year college and/or technical institution.  It's goal is to ease some of the long-term financial burdens associated with post-secondary education.  “This is by far our most recognizable program”, according to MADF Founder & Executive Director, Donovan R. Quary, Sr. “And the support we’ve received from individual and corporate donors has been nothing short of a blessing and it’s the reason why we’ve been able to award over $85,000 in scholarships since the program’s inception in 2004”.

The scholarship is open to high school seniors only.  The annual selection process begins in January and consists of an informational application, a thorough transcript review, an essay submission and formal interview.  Interested students should visit http://www.madf.org for further eligibility requirements and dates.

This year, MADF is proud recognize: Ms. Christiana Oshotse - $5,000 recipient (Westlake H/S, Atlanta, GA), Ms. Kyra Parks - $5,000 recipient (Whitewater H/S, Fayetteville, GA), Ms. Ta’keirra Butts - $1,000 recipient (Creekside H/S, Fairburn, GA), Ms. Kayla Thomas - $1,000 recipient (Peachtree Ridge H/S, Suwanee, GA), Mr. Elijah Rachell - $1,000 recipient (Decatur H/S, Decatur, GA) and Mr. Marquis Douglas - $1,000 recipient (Houston County H/S, Warner Robins, GA).
