Cavignac & Associates Hires Cristina Lopez as Employee Benefits Department Account Administrator

SAN DIEGO - Sept. 23, 2015 - PRLog -- Cavignac & Associates, a leading downtown San Diego-based risk management and commercial insurance brokerage firm, has hired Cristina Lopez to serve as account administrator within the agency’s Employee Benefits Department, announced Jeffrey W. Cavignac, CPCU, ARM, RPLU, president and principal of the firm.

         In her new position, Lopez will assist the agency’s account managers with daily activities related to client benefit offerings.  Specifically, she will assist with the completion of RFPs (Request for Proposals) and prepare quotations for new or renewal coverage, prepare open enrollment material and order supplies from carriers, create presentations and proposals for new and renewal business, and compile packages of material for open enrollment meetings and assist or handle those meetings as requested.

         Most recently, Lopez was director of sales and operations for MediExcel Health Plan in Chula Vista, where she handled sales and daily activity for a start-up cross-border health plan.  Previous job experience includes serving as community affairs manager for Monarch School in San Diego, where she was employed for more than four years.  While there, she handled the planning and implementation of a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new school serving San Diego’s homeless youth.

         Lopez graduated from the University of San Diego with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in marketing and finance.  She is an accredited California Department of Insurance Health and Accident Agent.

         A San Diego native, Lopez resides in Chula Vista, Calif., with her husband, Manuel.  In her leisure time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
