Metal Band Sectas Sizzles on Sunset Blvd. at the L.A. Music Awards!

PHOENIX - Sept. 23, 2015 - PRLog -- It has been announced that Phoenix-based Metal band, SECTAS, was honored on September 17th, 2015, with the Producer's Choice Award for “Rock Band of the Year” at the 25th Annual L.A. Music Awards.

The power trio Sectas’ rise has been nothing short of meteoric—and the reverbs of their high energy metal sound are resounding far beyond their home-base of Arizona. The band features Christian Lee (lead vocals/lead guitar), David “Runaway” Sectas (bass) and Johnny Collier (drums/back-up vocals). They have appeared with such powerhouses as Queensrÿche, Y&T, Papa Roach--and many others. They now add Producer’s Choice “Rock Band of the Year” to their impressive resume.

Band Manager, Crystal Nonya (Nonya Entertainment), approached then Owner/Producer of the L.A. Music Awards, Al Bowman, and applied for Sectas’ consideration for this year’s “Rock Band of the Year” honors. Once accepted, this was followed with an appearance by Sectas last June at the nominee’s party at the famed Whisky A Go Go on Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood. Sectas was one of three bands singled out for this prestigious performance.

Although Sectas was notified of their win ahead of time, this secret was kept “under wraps” until the band returned for the big reveal at the star-studded awards event on September 17^th in Hollywood—where Sectas hob-nobbed with the celebrities and strolled the Red Carpet, while posing for photo ops and conducting interviews with the press.
