The Moulin Rouge has anticipated this cultural reunion, and is ready to share our energy, passion and laughter with New York.” States Moulin Rouge CEO, Jean-Jacques Clerico. “The BEST OF FRANCE shares our values, and has helped give us the incredible opportunity to showcase our cultural ties through a fun, historical appearance. During our stay, we will be making it our utmost priority to not only attract new comers to the festival, but also entertain and interact in a way where we can give New York an authentic taste of France.” During their stay, The Moulin Rouge Dancers will be making various highlighted appearances at New York City landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty, The Empire State Building and Times Square. The French review is bringing “a Taste of Moulin Rouge”, where dancers will present a condensed performance of 8 minutes, paying homage to their world famous Féerie and Cancan. The event will also showcase iconic costumes that have played key roles in the Moulin Rouge’s long history during their fashion show. Jane Avril, La Goulue, Mistinguett, and Robe En Strass are amongst the lucky stars that helped set the opulent costume standards. These one of a kind Swarovski crystal encrusted garments being showcased during BEST OF FRANCE are estimated to cost upwards of $350,000 total. All costumes are handcrafted by Moulin Rouge’s in house ateliers, from design to production. The Moulin Rouge will perform two live shows daily during the festival in Time Square, and will also host a daily Costume Fashion Show.
