LONDON - Sept. 23, 2015 - PRLog -- Earlier this year The Syn released Live Rosfest. The album is a CD/DVD release. It’s been garnering some rave reviews all over the Internet. Here are some choice snippets:

“This album gets a whole hearted recommendation and is well worth checking out. It’s a great listen, well packaged and deserves some attention.” – The Progmeister – Progmeister.com

“It all makes for something that will have great appeal not only to fans in tune with the history of the band but also those who enjoy the more melodic song-based side of prog.” – Jerry Lucky – The Progressive Rock Files (Jerrylucky.com)

“I have not heard many of the studio versions, but what I can say is that this is one of the better sounding live records I have heard in a long time.  All the instruments come through clearly and Nardelli’s voice has a great emotional tone throughout.  Even though I have heard The Syn material before, this is my first time really “listening” to the songs and like any good live record, Live Rosefest has sparked more than enough interest in hunting down their other works.” – Greg Olma – Music Street Journal (musicstreetjournal.com)

“It’s a very polished performance by all on the day. This live and video album resonate on so many levels. The Syn were one of the pebbles thrown into the pool that would become Progressive Rock. The music of their time has become the sound of our times and well worth exploring as the band once again moves forward I the 21st century.” – Paul Watson – Progarchy (progarchy.com)

“if you like classic prog stuff like old Genesis, Gentle Giant, and Britpop of the late 60's/early 70's, this is an enjoyable live release.” – Dr. Abner Mality – Wormwood Chronicles (wormwoodchronicles.com)

“Yet another sonic bolt out of the blue by the mercurial Steve Nardelli, The Syn Live Rosfest will do quite nicely until Trustworks reveals the next chapter in the ongoing story of The Syn.” - Robert Silverstein – MWE3 (mwe3.com)

“While some tracks naturally stand out more than others, there isn’t really a single lull in this album. Polished songwriting and performances abound. New material sits comfortably beside songs from the band’s back catalog and form an unified whole that pulses with intelligence, love, and urgency.” -  Jason Hillenburg – Music Emissions (musicemissions.com)

Formed in 1965, The Syn was a precursor of the band Yes, with that band’s bassist Chris Squire as one of the founding members. At various times The Syn has also included Yes alums Peter Banks and Alan White in their lineup. The band recently released The Syn Live Rosfest on Umbrello Records (distribution by NOVA / Universal). The album is being well received worldwide. The Syn Live Rosfest is a live CD recorded in 2009 at Rosfest in Philadelphia on the Syn’s Big Sky tour. It also includes a bonus DVD featuring two films “The Syn in the 21st Century” and “The Making of Big Sky.”  To coincide with the release of  The Syn Live Rosfest, three older Syn albums (Syndestructible, Original Syn and Big Sky) have been re-released. Mastering has been completed on the new Syn studio album Trustworks, and the release date is being planned now.
