Marintec China 2015 preview - FURUNO

HVIDOVRE, Denmark - Sept. 23, 2015 - PRLog -- This year at Marintec China, FURUNO will exhibit the latest marine equipment for a variety of markets, ranging from deep sea vessels and commercial vessels to fishing and leisure/recreational boats.

for Deep sea/commercial vessels

For the deep sea/commercial market, the prime focus will be our bridge system FURUNO VOYAGER, consisting of FMD-3x00 ECDIS and FAR-3x00 Chart Radar.

The FAR-3x00 chart radars are available in both X- and S-band and can also be supplied with S-band solid state antenna. The FAR-3x00 chart radar features FURUNO’s latest Automatic Clutter Elimination (ACE) functionality, which radically improves the close range target detection and image quality. The FAR-3x00 also features an improved target tracking function, providing target acquisition in only a few seconds.

The FMD-3x00 ECDIS offers improved intuitive user interface, which makes it much easier to navigate the menus and operate the ECDIS efficiently. It comes with seamless zoom and an easy chart management tool, which fully supports ENC, ARCS and CM-93 chart formats and makes chart/permit updating, loading and erasing easy and efficient.

FURUNO will also present a new product for the deep sea/commercial segment: The new AISFA-170 and radar FAR-15x8. These new products will be showcased alongside the chart update system Gate-1, the navigational echo sounder FE-800, the satellite speed log GS-100, the ice radar FICE-100 and the oil radar FOIL-200.

FURUNO will also present our satellite communication systems featuring the new service Inmarsat GX and the remote monitoring service.

Another value-added service is FURUNO’s extensive training program for FURUNO type specific ECDIS training: This training program consists of class-room based training, either at one of FURUNO’s own training centers - the FURUNO INS Training Centers (INSTC) in Copenhagen and Singapore - or classroom training through the FURUNO NavSkills network of training centers worldwide. As a supplement to classroom training, FURUNO type specific ECDIS training can also be obtained through the NavSkills CAT (Computer Aided Training) system or via CBT (Computer Based Training).

for Fishing vessels

For the fishing market FURUNO will show a wide range of products; The fish finders FCV-288, FCV-587 and FCV-688, the sonar CSH-5L and the radar FR-8045.

for Recreational/leisure boats

For the leisure market FURUNO will show the flag-ship product NavNet TZtouch2.Further hereto, FURUNO will exhibit the autopilot, the GPS plotter and the wireless radar.

Customers can meet FURUNO in Hall no. N2 at stand no. N2E61, where we will be present to serve customers and demonstrate equipment and explain the many services and solutions offered to the market.
