Porsha & Mercedes were born in Queens, and raised in Long Island, New York. Not exactly your typical "girl next door" types, however, they embody the characteristics many young women are lacking in today's society: strength, determination, and smarts to carry them far in life; making professional strides and growing their fanbase daily. Their songs cover topics ranging from heartbreak, living in America, to just having fun and being goofy while giving that undeniable element of realness.

Their first song, "In Love With Me" gained over one million views on YouTube. Their unadulterated lyrical style and persona earned them a nomination at the Underground Music Awards for "Most Original Rap Group" as well as consistent plays on New York City's hottest Hip Hop station Power 105.1.
