FREMONT, Calif. - Sept. 21, 2015 - PRLog -- MentorHealth announces webinar on the topic, “What Did I Do Wrong?! Legal and Ethical Analysis of State Licensure Board Complaints Against Physical Therapists” on October 6. The speaker at this session will explain how physical therapists can familiarize themselves with relevant laws so that they insulate themselves from costly violations.

Fremont, CA: MentorHealth, a provider of professional trainings for all aspects of the healthcare industry, will organize a webinar on October 6. The topic of this webinar is “What Did I Do Wrong?! Legal and Ethical Analysis of State Licensure Board Complaints Against Physical Therapists”, and the speaker is Mark Brengelman, who practices law with the accomplished law firm Hazelrigg & Cox, LLP, as partner.

About the webinar:

Physical therapists are expanding their roles as health care practitioners working in today's diverse, fast-changing, multidisciplinary health care environment. Along with professionals such as physicians, nurses and others; the physical therapist is an important cog in the healthcare wheel. Yet, the state's authority and power over the physical therapist often presents challenges to that professional that are not easy to navigate.

Physical therapists are required to adhere to many standards of state law which govern their professional practices, including the doctor-patient relationship. Yet, once a complaint is received and investigated by a state agency, the physical therapist is left with an uncertain process to handle the state action.

This webinar will teach participants to identify and understand the most common violations of law. This allows the physical therapist to defend against such state actions that can go all the way up to suspension or revocation of the practitioner’s professional license, which may jeopardize her practice and result in potentially serious career consequences.

This program offers an objective and thorough review of the legal and ethical analysis of state licensure board complaints against physical therapists.
