Mrs. Gandhi graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a double major in Finance (banking/investments) and German.  After graduation, she worked for Arthur Andersen consulting in mergers and acquisitions until she joined her father’s chemical and manufacturing company (CCC).  Years later, this company was sold, but Mrs. Gandhi remained with the new organization (Akzo Nobel Non-Stick Coatings) for several years as its Global Vice President, Housewares before testing her entrepreneurial skills.

Prior to launching the “Smart Dating Academy”, she didn’t have a plan to create it; the idea for the company arose out of happenstance after encouraging friends to date.  Once they did and subsequently got engaged, Mrs. Gandhi had an epiphany that matching people was something that she was meant to do.  To this end, her company uses a fun 8-step process to help busy, successful professionals learn proven strategies to meet other high-caliber individuals.  As a keen matchmaker, Mrs. Gandhi puts the “smarts” into bringing individuals together by using her “uncanny six-sense about people”.

Additionally, Mrs. Gandhi is the founder of “Bela Gandhi Contemporary Art”.  As an award-winning abstract artist, her work has been featured in television series, Hollywood films, Chicago Home magazine, and on display at prestigious locations such as the Merchandise Mart.  Moreover, she’s committed to community service; therefore, she has served in an executive capacity on the board of The Cara Program for almost ten years.
