FORT PAYNE, Ala. - Sept. 15, 2015 - PRLog -- When September rolls around each year and temperatures become milder, locals in and around Fort Payne, Ala., know it is time for the fair to arrive in town. The DeKalb County Agricultural VFW Fair arrives September 28 and for six days, visitors are treated to exciting midway rides and other activities including family-friendly games, nightly live music, a variety of exhibits, and themed nights and special admission pricing.

While the highlight each year is the exciting midway rides, the DeKalb County Agricultural VFW Fair also offers an incredible lineup of entertainment and special pricing each night.

October 1 / Russell Gulley, the Fort Payne Middle School guitar class and bands from the Chris Roberts School of Music

2 for 1 Night (one person pays full price, second person rides for free)

October 2 / Sonic Fusion AMC Band

October 3 / Gospel singing featuring The Sharp’s Quartet and Jay Parrack and Vocal Event

$18 Ride-A-Thon Kid’s Day (from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. only)

Exhibits include handmade crafts, canned food, photography, drawings, floral arrangements, quilts, and there will be a goat show, a scarecrow competition, a miniature horse, showcart and donkey show along with live animals such as cattle and chickens. There will be plenty of carnival-style food to feast on so no one will leave hungry.

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 5 to 10 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 to 10 p.m. on Saturday.

Admission is $3 for 6 years and older and free for 5 years old and under with an adult.
