LAS VEGAS - Sept. 15, 2015 - PRLog -- The Las Vegas Dealers have signed seven-foot former NBA center David Harrison, Commissioner Ethan Norof announced Friday from the AmeriLeague executive office. Per league and team policy, terms of the contracts were not released.

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, as a prep star Harrison appeared in the McDonald’s All-American Game in 2001, while being named a two-time Mr. Basketball in Tennessee.

At the University of Colorado, Harrison averaged 17 points and 8.8 rebounds as a junior during the 2003-04 season. He finished his college career as Colorado’s all-time leading shot-blocker with 225 blocks.

In 2004, Harrison was drafted 29th overall by the Indiana Pacers, where he averaged five points and three rebounds in four seasons. After his tenure with the Pacers, Harrison continued his career in China and the NBA’s developmental league (NBDL). He was also a member of the Dallas Mavericks’ summer league team in 2012.

“I felt this was the best decision I could make for myself and my family. I’m excited to join the Las Vegas Dealers, and to play in AmeriLeague’s first season”, Harrison said.

Harrison and the Las Vegas Dealers inaugural season will tip-off in November ‘15. All AmeriLeague games will be available on-demand through major cable and satellite providers. Game tickets are available for purchase on AmeriLeague.com (http://www.amerileague.com/)
