GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Sept. 15, 2015 - PRLog -- The next generation of authors are finding new ways to share their messages with the world. One such way is through Wattpad, an online social platform that connects people all over the world through shared, discoverable stories. It’s no wonder that seventeen-year-old debut author Ashley Royer would find an overwhelmingly positive response to her words on an application primed for readers who are also her peers.

Ashley’s writing has received recognition the world over from readers who have supported the young author’s engaging storylines catapulting her to win a 2014 Watty (Wattpad’s award program) for her work. The young adult imprint Blink also took notice of the teen’s writing and popularity, acquiring Royer as a new author. "I am very excited to have this opportunity! I never thought I would be publishing a book, especially while I'm still in high school! I always dreamed of something like this happening, and now it's coming true. I am so thankful for everyone who has been supporting me through this whole process," said Royer. Blink will release her Watty Award-winning sensation, Remember to Forget, in April 2016, complete with additional exclusive content fans will enjoy.

Remember to Forget focuses on Levi, who must cope with the changes he faces after moving in with his dad—a new town, a new home, and a new therapist. Following the tragic death of his girlfriend, Delia, Levi has refused to speak and can't seem to come out of his depression or hindering self-doubt. Desperate to make some positive change in his life, Levi’s mother sends Levi to live with his father in Maine. Though the idea of moving from Australia to America seems completely daunting, Levi accepts his fate, but faces struggles as he and his dad battle through resentment and misunderstanding. And then Levi meets Delilah, a girl who eerily reminds him of someone he lost.

Royer, a high school junior from Peabody, MA, is Blink’s youngest author. “Ashley has a fresh and exciting voice, and really understands her audience,” said Annette Bourland, Senior Vice President and Publisher for Blink. “Ashley’s story has deeply connected with readers on Wattpad, and we’re thrilled to share her work with a wider audience.”

Remember to Forget is available in hardcover for $16.99 at retailers nationwide and online on April 5, 2016. It is available through pre-order now at Amazon.com.
