NAWBO Greater St. Louis Hosts Sept. 16 Panel, “Leveraging WBE Certification”

ST. LOUIS - Sept. 14, 2015 - PRLog -- Sept. 14, 2015 (St. Louis) – The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Greater St. Louis Chapter will host a panel discussion lunch Sept. 14 “Leveraging WBE Certification” with Jennah Purk, CPA, Purk & Associates, P.C., and Lianne Reizer, All American Transportation, Inc., and Petro Logistics, LLC, from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Old Warson Country Club located at 9841 Old Warson Road, St. Louis, MO, 63124.

WBE Certification stands for Woman Business Enterprise and denotes that a woman or women has majority ownership and control of a business entity.  Having your business certified as a WBE can provide access to contractual opportunities with corporations and government agencies that must meet annual goals for WBE participation.  If you're not certified, you may be missing out on valuable opportunities to connect with potential clients who want and need to work with businesses like yours.

Our experienced panel will discuss the pros and cons of certification on both the state and federal level, which industries would benefit from certification, and the application and interview process.
