eBackpack, Inc. releases numerous enhancements including state standards tagging, LTI integrations, and a new parent portal and parent app.
DALLAS - Sept. 14, 2015 - PRLog -- eBackpack, Inc., the leading learning management system provider, announced that is has recently made a number of significant product enhancements to better equip students and teachers for the school year. eBackpack customers report the additional features are making a powerful impact on the company’s goal of making teaching easier and learning more engaging through increased functionality, deep integrations, and an intuitive interface.

Among the many new features eBackpack has developed, state standards tagging clearly stands out for school administrators. Standards tagging of assignments and assessments enables teachers to create clear learning outcomes for individual students and to evaluate progress towards those goals. eBackpack has over 50 state and other academic standards preloaded, including Common Core, Texas, and Next Generation Science Standards, with the ability to draw in almost any set of established standards.

Other notable new features include: LTI (Learning Tool Interoperability) certifications and integrations with third party sources such as Khan Academy, Quizlet, Youtube, and Turnitin, making it easier for teachers to have access to digital content from a variety of learning sources directly inside of eBackpack; visibility controls enabling teachers to pre-stage assignments and assessments as well as limiting visibility within a class roster to facilitate personalized learning; translation tools to improve comprehension in other languages; enhanced notifications regarding assignment due dates and completion; and automated offline access for assignments on iOS.

Additionally, eBackpack has created a new parent site which is directly connected to their student’s account, in order to give parents increased real-time visibility into their student’s learning environment. eBackpack CEO Michael Zilinskas stated, “Throughout our development of the new parent site we focused on keeping it as safe as possible for the students while giving parents more involvement and visibility in the learning process.
