Sept. 10, 2015 - PRLog -- Fueled by Rednecks is excited to announce that the inaugural Extreme MudFest was a very muddy, very successful event with thousands of festival attendees from all over the country including: Alberta, Saskatchewan, BC and even Newfoundland.

Extreme MudFest, proudly supported by Travel Alberta and produced by Fueled By Rednecks, was held in Bonnyville Alberta, August 21 to 23, 2015. The three-day festival featured sanctioned racing events such as; CMRO and non CMRO Mudding, Truck Demolition, Tuff Trucks and Lawnmower Races.  The racing purse was one of the highest awarded purses in the country, drawing over 175 racers.  The first time event also included a music festival with performances by The Trews, The Road Hammers, Aaron Pritchett, The Fort Kent Boys and the Killers & Kings.

Purchasers of tickets to Extreme MudFest were automatically entered in a contest where the grand prize draw was a trip for 2 including airfare, hotel and 2 tickets to the Kobalt 400 in Las Vegas, March 2016.   Jason McCoy of The Road Hammers announced Saturday night that Robert Burns of Bonnyville, Alberta was the grand prize winner of the NAPA Auto Parts trip to the NASCAR Kobalt 400.

Fueled by Rednecks partnered with Canadian Mud Racing Organization (CMRO) executive and longtime event promotor Rick Reddecliff who created the original mud event in Ardmore twelve years ago.  Together they rebranded the event Extreme MudFest and changed the venue to the  Bonnyville Rodeo Grounds which allowed for the expansion into the music festival and established a truly national mud race series.

Rebecca Gledhill, General Manager of Fueled By Rednecks said, “We were truly overjoyed to be partnered with Rick and nearly speechless by the turn out of our first ever Extreme MudFest. The racers knocked it out of the park during the day, while the bands rocked the crowd all night long. It was important to our team to make this event as family friendly and as affordable as possible; kids 12 & under were free and the adult price was only $50 for a full day of mudding and a concert which we received great feedback on.”

Sponsor Brent Mattice of Northern Truck & Industrial Supplies Ltd., a NAPA Auto Parts store raved “My wife Val and I have been looking for a signature event we could get involved with, Extreme MudFest was sold to us as Motorsports and Music and we were hooked, especially with our local “Rock Star” Clayton Belamy of the Road Hammers headlining.   Everything from the CMRO high HP blown alcohol sand rail cars to the mud racers, lawnmowers, smashup derby and the tough truck was "Redneck Rock and Roll". The whole event was a smashing success and "MUDFEST" is the buzz word in Town. I have worked and attended countless events in Bonnyville over the last 25 years and this event by far was the largest I have ever seen and the second best event we have had the privilege of being a part of.”

Producer Billie Jo Aasen added “We would also like to extend a huge thank you to all of our sponsors including; NAPA Auto Parts Canada,  Northern Truck & Industrial Supplies, Travel Alberta, SunMedia, Lyn-Den Oilfield Contracting, Scorpion Industries, Dynamo Small Engine, Lakeland Co-Op, Jena Machining, DRC Oilfield Construction, Major Overhaul and Equipment Repair, The Cat Rental Store, Etrec Construction, Double D Bobcat, MCL Group, SS&M Hauling, Telephone Connections, Dale’s Rentals, Bob’s Portables, King Kans Rentals, Dan Fontaine, Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority, B&R Eckel’s Transport, Municipal District of Bonnyville, AB, Eagle’s Tent Rentals, All-Out Oilfield, and HSC Integrated, Neighbourhood Inn Bonnyville, AB,  R.Batke Oilfield, Avalanche Trucking, All-Out Oilfield, 2nd Bonnyville Scout Group and Fueled By Rednecks.  They were a huge part of making this event possible and we cannot wait to work together again on a bigger and better 2016”.
