The all day event, on October 5 and, begins with a golf tournament with a 19 hole party and closes with an All-Star Concert led by Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Robby Krieger of the Doors and special guests, including Jack Black.

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - Sept. 10, 2015 - PRLog -- The eighth-annual Scott Medlock – Robby Krieger Invitational & All-Star Concert benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, presented by Microsemi, Monster Energy & Coca Cola Co., will return to Moorpark Country Club in Moorpark, California, on Monday, October 5, 2015.

The event is hosted by internationally renowned sports artist, Scott Medlock, and legendary guitarist for The Doors, Robby Krieger. The two friends of more than 25 years share a passion for philanthropy and have organized this event to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (http://www.stjude.org/).® St. Jude leads the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other deadly diseases.

This year they hope to raise more than $500,000 to help ensure families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.

Medlock and Krieger expressed that they look forward to a day of fun with friends for a good cause. Both visited the hospital in Memphis, Tenn., and described the visit with patients as “simply incredible,” and “one of the most positive experiences we have ever had.” St. Jude is where doctors from all 50 states and around the world send their toughest cases because it has the world’s best survival rates for the most aggressive childhood cancers.

The Scott Medlock – Robby Krieger Invitational & All-Star Concert will kick off with golf at 10:30 a.m., followed by “The 19th Hole,” presented by A La Maison, Waste Management & Jakks Pacific. During “The 19th Hole,” guests will enjoy cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, entertainment and local cuisine provided by Mastro’s Steakhouse, Café Firenze and many others. Once again, Medlock and Krieger will offer golfers the opportunity to participate in amazing hole-in-one prizes & the chance to win golf packages & other exciting prizes from the Opportunity Board.

An All-Star Concert presented by Monster Energy will be on a custom built stage overlooking the Moorpar Country Club driving range will conclude the day at 7pm. Past performers include Rock & Roll Hall of Fame artists including Robby Krieger (The Doors), Alex Lifeson (Rush), Alice Cooper, Tommy Thayer (KISS), Danny Seraphine (Chicago/CTA), David Sikes (Boston), Lita Ford, Cherie Currie (The Runaways), Jonny Lang, Ray Goren and comedians Gary Mule Deer, Mark Eddie, Scott Henry and Michael Wilson and many others. This year’s concert promises to be best one to date, with new guests, which include Jack Black.

All-Star Concert tickets are $100 for general admission and $150 for access to “The 19th Hole” & the Concert. Golf entries are $5,000 per Foursome Sponsor, $2,500 per Twosome Sponsor & $1,250 for individual golf spots.
