Follow on Google News | City to Pay Manhattan Man $40,000.00 to Resolve Allegations of Police BrutalityAccording to the complaint that was filed in Brooklyn Federal Court, Anthony had been walking with a friend in Upper Manhattan, NY when two individuals started running toward him. Those individuals grabbed him, slammed him to the ground, punched him in the head and kicked him. When they were done assaulting him, they identified themselves as New York City Police Officers. One of the officers then told Anthony that had "passed something" to someone else and then said Anthony had "thrown something to the ground." However, since Anthony didn't have anything illegal on him, the officers looked around and then let him go. Thereafter, Anthony went to Mt. Sinai St. Luke's Emergency Room to get treatment for the injuries he sustained as a result of the attack. Medical records indicate that Anthony sustained an exacerbation of a left shoulder injury and back injury. He subsequently treated at William F. Ryan Community Health Center. Michael Redenburg represented Anthony and has represented dozens of false arrest victims and victims of police brutality throughout the NYC area. Michael Redenburg has been named a NY Metro Rising Star SuperLawyer by Thomson Reuters for the last two years, which is based on nomination and peer review. http://www.mjrlaw- 212-240-9465 Michael J.
