New Stopcocks scheme makes it simpler for customers to find tradeswomen

Stopcocks Women Plumbers has launched a service to represent all skilled tradeswomen.

ALL, U.K. - Sept. 10, 2015 - PRLog -- Stopcocks (geddit?), which was founded in 1990 to represent women plumbers, has now extended into all trades, finding that customers now demand a one-stop shop where they can find women in the trades.

Having made an active decision to use female traders, customers are clearly demanding a ‘one-stop-shop’ where they can find women in all trades. “Our customers have busy lives, they want everything to be simple,” says Stopcocks director Mica May, “They already get it that by using a brand that stands for great customer service they are saving themselves hassle in their homes and in the future. Now they want to be able to come to just one place for all their domestic skilled trades services.”

The new Endorsed by Stopcocks scheme allows all qualified tradeswomen to be represented in one place so that they’re easy for customers to find. The service will make things quicker and easier for customers and will support all skilled trades women to be found by customers looking for a quality service.

At a time when the reputation of the manual trades are at an all time low, Stopcocks Women Plumbers has made its point of difference ‘exquisite customer service’; establishing itself as a company to trust.

The intention of the scheme is to raise the profile of skilled trades women even more by increasing representation around the whole of UK. “Often when customers phone us even before they even tell us what they want they have a sorry tale of woe to relate, of the service they’ve already received at the hands of ‘traditional trades workers’” says May, “They say ‘If only we’d thought of using you sooner!’”

Tradeswomen on the Endorsed By Stopcocks Scheme will benefit from the Stopcocks Women Plumbers brand, which has become well established online and on social media. May says, “We’re pretty internet savvy and have a formula to be able to quickly bring a new tradeswoman or a new area up the Google rankings, making anyone who joins us much easier to find.”

Stopcocks hopes that to use Stopcocks tradeswomen will be the first choice everywhere. “To do that,” says May, “we need more tradeswomen to join us as full licencees and on the Endorsed By scheme. This will enable us to bring skilled tradeswomen together all over UK.”

Later this year Stopcocks will launch its new Find A Job service for women who don’t find self-employment attractive. Says May, “As the only business actively promoting women in skilled trades we are the only people in a position to do this, we’ve been at it for over 25 years and really understand the situation for women.”
