Check your PC for any viruses before installing the software. Put the PACE ST325 CD to your CD drive and wait for the instructions to appear on the screen. Follow the instructions. In case auto-run do not function, please browse the CD (by using My Computer) and double-click on setup or setup.exe.

That is it. You are done with software installation part. Now connect your PC with ST325 (SMD Rework Station) using a serial cable. If you are using a Serial to USB cable then it is fine, else, do not over tighten the screws provided on the serial to serial (RS232) cable.

Now double click on the installed application and you will face the main screen.

Once inside the application you should create two types of profiles. The “timed” profile limits the profile controls to applying heat to the nozzle for a specific temperature and time duration.

The “zoned” profile will control temperature and time durations for three independent zones that consist of the pre-heat, soak, and reflow. Each zone may be customized to fit the component requirement for installation (soldering) or removal (desoldering).
