Bess. Attendees should bring their own supplies or electronic devices and be prepared to participate in discussions and writing exercises. Homework assignments are given at the end of each workshop. About the Writers Resource Center The Writers Resource Center is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 2003 by Janie P. Bess, an author and recent recipient of a California state honors award from Assembly Member Susan Bonilla. She was also recently accepted into the National Association of Professional Women. The group, which is based in Fairfield, has members located throughout the Bay Area and the nation.
