Fun Depot Go-Karts Sponsorship banners given new life by Asheville Signarama

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Sept. 8, 2015 - PRLog -- Since opening in February 2004, Asheville Fun Depot has continued to grow and in doing so become both nationally and internationally known. The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) rated it the “Top Family Entertainment in the World,” a title they maintained for two consecutive years. They have also been recognized locally as the #1 Place to have Birthday Parties for five years in a row, #1 Rainy Day Activity, as well as #3 for Best Miniature Golf and Best Party Entertainer. Today they have over 65,000 sure feet including a multi-level Go-Kart race track, that Asheville Signarama has provided sponsorship decals and wraps for.

The success of Asheviille’s Fun Depot story has humble beginnings. Florida resident David Day, who had just become a professional engineer, with his Wife Mary Beth and their four children returned from vacation only to find that he had lost his job. Praying about what to do, with their house going into foreclosure and trusting in God, they decided to move to Asheville.  “It truly felt like this move was against all odds. I was 26 years old, a wife and four young children, we constantly prayed for guidance. We knew nobody in NC. But then a man in our church gave us a house with a fully stocked refrigerator where we could live for a year. Because of this we had no debt, so we moved and opened Day Associates on March 16, 1990.”

Having never owned his own business David had to learn quickly. “It took two months to obtain my first client job, but during those months I had a lot of wonderful family time and lot of incredible prayer time. Word of mouth began to spread and our business hasn’t stopped growing since.”

With over 15 years of entrepreneurship, David and his wife had for years discussed the need for a safe fun place for families to play together. In May 2003 he brought his ideas and concepts to his team and together they designed Fun Depot. In February 2004 Fun Depot opened its doors.

When the new campaign to have local firms sponsor Go-Karts, they needed a great sign company who could handle creating the deals and graphics for the Go-Karts. Roger Ward, the Fun Depots Group Sales Manager, knew where to go.  He called his High School friend Dari Mullins worked at Asheville Signarama. “The team at Signarama were great.  They came up with great designs for not only the go-karts, that showcased the sponsors, but also the banners around the track. Their expertise, professionalism was a pleasure to see. Not only that their prices were competitive as well.”
