CanSupport & online partner Credihealth organize FUTSAL Challenge for Cancer Awareness

DELHI, India - Sept. 5, 2015 - PRLog -- CanSupport, an organization that provides free home care- palliative care to cancer patients has organized a fundraising event this Sunday, September 6, 2015. The Futsal Challenge will require the participating teams to play the game of Futsal (a variant of football that is played on a smaller field) at Thyagaraj Stadium, New Delhi.

Futsal, according to FIFA, is the fastest growing indoor sport in the world and is gaining popularity among youngsters globally. It is played between two teams of five players each, including one goalkeeper. The game is played on a hard court surface enclosed by lines with unlimited substitutions of players. The game is to be played by younger employees (25- 40 years) working in medium and large corporates in 6 teams of 5 players each. An additional number of five players will be allowed to participate as substitutes by each team during the game that will be played from8am-8pm on Sunday.

According to the rules, each team will play against all the other teams and every game will last for 25 minutes including break time of 5 minutes – 10 minutes each half. All participating players need to be a part of the company or a member of the institution they will be representing. The pitch will be booked by CanSupport, which will also provide the participants with light refreshments. The venue, Thyagaraj Stadium, is located close to INA Market near the DDA office and the main entrance will be from Gate No 1. The participating companies/organizations would be required to pay a registration fee for their teams.
