“Creative Convergence Silicon Valley” Announces Initial Lineup

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Sept. 4, 2015 - PRLog -- San Jose, Calif., Sept. 4, 2015 — Now in its third year, Silicon Valley’s preeminent technology and music festival, Creative Convergence Silicon Valley (C2SV) will bring together business disrupters and technology luminaries along with emerging musical artists for two days of forward-looking discussions—and two nights of music and parties.

Scheduled speakers include some of the leading thought leaders of the post-digital world: game designer and New York Times bestselling author Jane McGonigal; collaborative economy strategist Jeremiah Owyang; change evangelist Brian Fanzo; “Shareology” author Brian Kramer; and technology journalist Robert Scoble, in a return appearance.

Entrepreneurs such as Entefy co-founder Brienne Ghafourifar, Quixey CEO Tomer Kagan, Butterflye CEO Ben Nader and Purism CEO Todd Weaver will be among the entrepreneurs and game-changers featured at the conference. Many additions to the lineup will be announced as the conference date approaches. Previous conferences have featured industry legends such as personal computer inventor Steve Wozniak, video game inventor Nolan Bushnell and antivirus pioneer John McAfee.

C2SV will be held at the historic California Theatre in downtown San Jose’s creative district, SoFA. The event will start on Thursday, Oct. 8 and end on Friday, Oct. 9, 2015.

This year's tech conference will include a range of topics that spans next-generation mobile applications such as livestreaming; the sharing economy; cloud-based disruption; and the intersection of technology with issues such as personal privacy and gender and diversity in the workplaceIn the evening, C2SV will activate venues in downtown San Jose’s SoFA District with an emerging artists showcase, live bands, DJs and surprise performances from a range of musical genres.

C2SV is made possible with the support of Fry’s Electronics, Metro Silicon Valley newspaper, the San Jose Office of Economic Development, Team San Jose and the Knight Foundation.

Creative Convergence Silicon Valley (C2SV) was established in 2012 as the one-day Silicon Valley Sound Experience (SVSX) and was greatly expanded in 2013 as the first conference of its type at the expanded San Jose McEnery Convention Center.
