Over 325 Registered For Boise Conference on Housing and Economic Development Oct 6-7

 
BOISE, Idaho - Sept. 4, 2015 - PRLog -- BOISE, Idaho – Over 325 attendees have already signed up during early registration for the 2015 Conference on Housing and Economic Development taking place at the Boise Centre October 6-7.

The conference, which headlines nationally recognized keynote speakers, draws hundreds of business, government, and nonprofit professionals every three years from all corners of the housing and economic development sectors.

Organized by Idaho Housing and Finance Association (www.idahohousing.com), the conference will provide an opportunity for attendees to discuss relevant and timely topics with industry influencers.

Gerald M. Hunter, President of IHFA, says that the housing and economic development conference will examine issues critical to the region's future.

"We want to focus attention on how nationally-relevant topics being discussed in housing and economic development circles will impact communities in Idaho," he said. "Topics like millennials becoming homebuyers, smart homes, and senior housing are just a few of the issues that will have tremendous impact on businesses, nonprofits, and public agencies."

The keynote speakers, who have appeared on a range of national media including CBS, CNN, NBC, and more, will address trends in housing and economic development.

Daniel Burrus, a futurist on global trends and innovation and best-selling author, will present a keynote speech on smart homes and cities.

Charlie Cook, national political analyst, editor and publisher of "The Cook Political Report" and political contributor to CBS, CNN and NBC News, will speak about the political climate and what it might mean for the housing industry.

Rebecca Ryan, a thought leader, economist and author, will inspire attendees to think differently about attracting the next generation to their communities.

In addition to the keynotes, the workshops will focus on important topics such as attracting business to the state, homelessness and housing, smart homes and cities, TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure (TRID), Fair Housing, lending and more.

General Admission for early registration is $185 per person for nonprofits and $235 per person for others. Early registration ends September 15, and space is limited.
