BOCA RATON, Fla. - Sept. 3, 2015 - PRLog -- Douglas MacLaughlin has 35 years of experience practicing extensively in the areas of environmental and administrative law. Mr. MacLaughlin’s long legal career representing the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and the South Florida DHMWater Management District allows him to effectively counsel developers, landowners, industry, agriculture, utilities, local governments and individuals affected by agency actions. Mr. MacLaughlin has broad experience in resolving complex and troublesome permitting, enforcement and rule making issues, most often though reasonable settlement, or if necessary through appropriate litigation or appellate action.

Mr. MacLaughlin is board certified by the Florida Bar as a “Specialist in State and Federal Government and Administrative Practice.” He has authored articles in the Florida Bar Journal, including a 2015 article addressing impaired water bodies in Florida. He also is a co-author of “How to Obtain a State Environmental Permit” in the Florida Environmental and Land Use Treatise published by the Florida Bar. Mr. MacLaughlin is Co-Editor of the Florida Bar’s Environmental and Land Use Law Section Reporter. Finally, Mr. MacLaughlin is a Florida Supreme Court certified mediator.
