PHOENIX - Sept. 3, 2015 - PRLog -- Sports teams, clubs, church groups and other Phoenix organizations will have the chance to win much needed items for their 501(c)(3) organization through Shamrock Foodservice Warehouse’s new Nonprofit Nourishment program. The foodservice warehouse, which opened in January 2015, is hosting an enter-to-win promotion where three winning organizations will each receive a $500 store gift card.

Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations can enter at the retail warehouse or at www.shamrockfoodsw.com/community beginning Sept. 1 through Sept. 21, 2015 by completing an online entry form including a brief statement of need.

Winners will be announced at a special “Nonprofit Nourishment” open house at the Shamrock Foodservice Warehouse from 1 to 3 p.m., Friday, Sept. 25, 2015. While there, organizations will have the opportunity to tour the Shamrock Foodservice Warehouse and enjoy free samples of food items.

“Whether needing popcorn for a school carnival, supplies for a bake sale or healthy snacks and beverages to refuel the bodies and brains of those they serve, we know how time and budget consuming these types of items can be for our local nonprofits. True to its name, our program is a way to provide some ‘nourishment’ to community organizations,” said Ann Ocana, Chief Marketing Officer for Shamrock Foods.

To qualify for “Nonprofit Nourishment” the entering 501(c)(3) organization must be a formally established organization serving the youth of Arizona. For example, this could include youth sports leagues, church youth groups, scouting organizations and school-affiliated clubs/teams, among others. The program is open to both current organizations shopping at the Shamrock Foodservice Warehouse and organizations just learning about all the store has to offer – including access to 15,000 food and foodservice items in-store and through our warehouse, without the added cost of a club membership fee or delivery charge. Its extensive selection of snack items, food for events and items for fundraisers makes it a great place for clubs and organizations to shop.

“Shamrock has a longstanding commitment to the community, and we are extending that through our Shamrock Foodservice Warehouse with the Nonprofit Nourishment program. We look forward to introducing our wide array of cost-effective, high-quality product offerings to local organizations,” added Ocana.
