#SocialCut: the experience of the Italian startup Ausker

The Italian kitchen tools company, among the first in Italy to use a crowdfunding platform, gives light to its knives and winks to charity

MILAN - Sept. 3, 2015 - PRLog -- The Italian brand Ausker has just opened its new kitchen knives project. Today is the first day people can pre-order their ceramics and steel knives exclusively for 35 days on Kickstarter, who has recently opened its market to Italian projects. With the money raised by the campaign, Ausker will fund a brand promoting campaing that will help people in need: this campaign is named #SocialCut.

#SocialCut is a slash to hunger. The money raised online via Kickstarter will fund a series of events lasting five to seven days in which Ausker will grow strategically placed temporary stores in cities like Milan and Rome. Here, everybody will be invited to come in to try the knives on fresh products made available by the company. All the food cut will be given away to local charity organizations.

The brand is hestatic and is looking forward to organizing such an event that will lead to two big things: it will show the people the high quality of their products and they will be doing so helping those who really need it.

The brand estimated that, for a five days event with an average of 250 people coming each day, Ausker will be able to give away more than 2000 meals every week thanks to over 400 kilograms of freshly cut products.

On www.kickstarter.com, on Ausker’s project page, there are several choices, from the single knife to the whole set.

The High Density Ceramics knives are created with the innovative cold isostatic pressing process that hardens, makes more durable and increases the performances of the zirconium oxide. The handles are designed and composed with a special plastic material that guarantees a solid, ergonomic and balanced grip. Ceramic knives are available in four colours and the set is composed by four different blades.

The whole set is a complete tool for every kitchen enthuisiast and has a price of €59.

On the other hand Ausker offers the Tempered Stainless Steel set made of six different blades, an ecological wood block and an innovative sharpener for an easy management and sharpening of the blades.

These blades are made to guarantee a great grip both on the handle and on the blade. The steel set is available at €89.
