Thoothukudi Educational District Sports Meet

THOOTHUKKUDI, India - Sept. 3, 2015 - PRLog -- Thoothukudi Educational District Sports Meet 2015-16 was organized by Seena Vana Government Higher Secondary School, Thoothukudi with the support of Sterlite Copper, Thoothukudi between Sep 1, 2015 and Sep 2, 2015 at SDAT (Tharuvai Stadium) Ground, Thoothukudi.

1500 students participated in this Sport Meet across 116 schools in Thoothukudi Educational District covering four zones namely Thoothukudi, Sawyerpuram, Nazareth and Tiruchendhur. They were divided into three categories U14, U17 & U19 and organized 11 Athletic Events for both boys and girls of all these categories.

The valedictory function was presided over by Mr I Rajasekhar, General Manager – Business Excellence, Sterlite Copper in the presence of Mr Theerthose, District Sports Officer, Mr T Ganesan, Inspector of Physical Education, Thoothukudi District and Mrs M Senthurkani, Headmistress, Seena Vana Government Higher Secondary School, Thoothukudi held on Sep 2, 2015 at SDAT Ground, Thoothukudi.

Mr I Rajasekhar distributed medals and certificates to the winners of Sports Meet. The Overall Champion Award ‘Sterlite Trophy’ was bagged byKanchi Sri Sankara Higher Secondary School, Tiruchendhur and Holy Cross Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School, Thoothukudi.
