DALLAS - Sept. 2, 2015 - PRLog -- The National Minority Prostate Cancer Association is kicking off its “Check It & Correct It” weekend in September to raise awareness about the deadly disease that affects African-American men at a disproportionate rate.

The partners include: The International Association of Black Firefighters Association, the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement, Communications Workers of America, Wells Fargo and Kroger.

“I’m a survivor and I know what it’s like to learn that you have prostate cancer,” said Dr. Hall, …… “I also know how important it is for all men to get a check up to prevent the cancer. I’m hoping this weekend will raise awareness throughout the community that we have to fight this together.”
