BRISBANE, Australia - Sept. 1, 2015 - PRLog -- The Great Depression, immediately followed by World War II, was a very hard period for everyone. But in the case of author Mary Thorogood, survival was complicated by the extremely harsh conditions her family faced in Australia.

In this extraordinary account of growing up Down Under, the author describes how her family of industrious professional fishermen kept food on the table when there was little or no money to be had. Her book exemplifies how love can keep families together, despite facing terrible adversity.

From Beaver Rock to Mysteryis a series of short stories about hardship and difficulty, love and laughter, the stressful times and the comical. It is also about the pleasure derived from the simple things in life such as: wildflowers, sunsets, the antics of children and animals, and storytelling around the campfire. These are things that money cannot buy, but which lay a foundation for a life well lived.

“This autobiography about one of the most compelling times in history is a story that deserves to be told, and we are thrilled to announce its release,” said Robert Fletcher, CEO of Strategic Book Publishing and Rights Agency.
