British Supercatamaran announced by Vantage Catamarans

HYTHE, U.K. - Sept. 1, 2015 - PRLog -- Anglesey, UK – Vantage Catamarans Ltd is proud to announce the Vantage 86, an unparalleled, adventure performance catamaran. The Vantage 86 is set to break the mould of the modern cruising catamaran, combining racing pedigree with the comfort and stability of a multihull.

Designed by renowned yacht designer Nigel Irens with exterior styling by Christophe Chedal-Anglay, this outstanding catamaran will offer 86ft of adventure, substance and style. Vantage 86 will be built by Green Marine at its specialist composite shipyard facility on the south coast of England.

Vantage 86 has been designed to offer the speed and agility to take the routes less charted, provide space to pack in those essentials from a rack of surfboards to motorbikes, and allow 400 mile days in style.”

Successfully blurring the line between bluewater cruising and a performance race boat, Vantage will provide minimal compromise between race numbers and cruising comfort. The Vantage 86 will comfortably accommodate up to eight guests accompanied by three members of crew, thanks to her spacious cabins, which will be styled and furnished by Peter Hall & Son, the celebrated British interior design and furniture studio.

Award winning yacht designer, Nigel Irens, said: “Vantage 86 has been a truly collaborative project from the initial concept right through the design process. After a year of interactive work between the design team, Green Marine and owner’s representative Synergy Yachting we have now reached the point where Green Marine can plan every detail of the build process.

Although most yacht builders would advocate such an approach it is rarely achieved in practice and should result in a higher quality build - as well as a significant improvement in building efficiency and the weight of the finished yacht. “
