ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Aug. 31, 2015 - PRLog -- ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO (August 31, 2015) –Pressure Analysis Company (PAC) has formed a partnership that will help it take its sensor technology to the professional football gridiron.

PAC, a member of the second class of the ABQid Business Accelerator, has forged a new strategic partnership with the arena football team, Duke City Gladiators. The agreement was announced last Friday at the Epicenter @ Innovate ABQ during Demo Day, ABQid’s formal graduation ceremony from the city’s first accelerator.

“This agreement will allow us to get our product in front of the people who need it, and will wear it, and use it for the first time: professional football players,” Said CEO Michelle Urban. “The data we’ll be able to record will not only help us develop the SmackPAC sensors, but could help players, coaches and trainers at the highest levels of play refine their game.”

The team has agreed to allow PAC full access to its players, staff, marketing team and more throughout the season to show that professional teams are not blind to the dangers of contact sports, and to collect data that could help high school, college, and other professional players refine their playing.

PAC’s wireless impact sensors are patent pending and backed by the University of New Mexico’s STC.UNM technology commercialization incubator. PAC’s first product, SmackPAC Athlytics™, is a skullcap that is for athletes in contact sports. It shows where, how hard, and how many times an athlete is hit. Impacts will be viewed using a mobile application in real time and can be downloaded to an ImPACt Scorecard™ for long term tracking.

About PAC – PAC is a company formed by a team from the University of New Mexico with decades of experience in technology and business development. The company plans to release a consumer version of SmackPAC , once it is proven on the field.

About ABQid – The city’s first business accelerator to follow the lean startup method is working to create investible high-growth companies. The program is a public-private partnership and ABQid teams presented to a group on investors last week in Albuquerque.

About Duke City Gladiators – The Gladiators play in the Champions Indoor Football league using arena football rules. The games are fast, challenging, and the team’s second season of players is expecting to bring home a league championship in 2016.
