LAS VEGAS - Aug. 31, 2015 - PRLog -- On September 1st, animal advocate Sheryl Green will launch a radio show called Something to Chew On. The show airs live every Tuesday at 11 am on www.vegasallnetradio.com. Green welcomes Hearts Alive Village founder, Christy Stevens as her first guest.

Something to Chew On will discuss pet parenting, pet rescue... and everything in between. Learn how to create the best life possible for your pet and how to improve the lives of animals in your community. Learn tips from vets, nutritionists, trainers, groomers, pet sitters, etc., and hear from rescue groups and animal advocacy groups about how they are helping to end pet over-population, discrimination and abuse, and creating a better world for animals. "I want to inspire listeners to get involved with animal rescue. You may not be able to go to the shelters and physically pull animals, but there is always something you can do to help," said Green. "Something to Chew On will be about the positive things happening for animals. I don't want to depress people, I want them to be hopeful and know that we can all make a difference. "

Sheryl Green is a New York native who has been living in Las Vegas and volunteering with local animal rescues since 2008. She began her radio career last year as co-host for PR Connections with Guy Dawson, and considers it a natural progression to launch a show about animals. Sheryl is a Distinguished Toastmaster and an accomplished writer, as well as the Director of Communications and Cuddling for Hearts Alive Village.

Christy Stevens is the founder of Hearts Alive Village Las Vegas, a 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to secure loving and stable homes for dogs and cats at risk of being lost in the shelter system. Through a variety of programs such as Kendall's Kupboard (a pet food pantry), and Solutions over Surrenders which gives pet owners access to resources like training, financial assistance, and more, Hearts Alive aims to keep pets in their original homes whenever possible. They also provide Humane Education to youth groups throughout the valley and transitional housing for a domestic abuse survivor. In June of this year, they opened their first Adoption Center and Pet Supply Store, giving animals a place to meet potential adopters."This radio show will give Hearts Alive Village, and rescues throughout the valley, the opportunity to reach a larger audience and save even more lives," said Christy Stevens, founder of Hearts Alive Village.

The show will feature a Something to Chew On Tip of the Week sponsored by West Charleston Animal Hospital, an Adoptable Dog or Cat of the Week brought to you by PetScene Magazine, and Letters from Under the Bed, a segment that gives dogs and cats a chance to tell listeners what they are really thinking, sponsored by Pictographics.
