Partners Insurance Group, LLC helps sponsor “First Annual Stronger Together Social” to benefit Gifts to Give

SWANSEA, MA…Partners Insurance Group, LLC, one of the region’s leading independent insurance agencies with seven locations in Southeastern MA and RI, is helping sponsor an event that will benefit Gifts To Give (www.giftstogive.org), a non-profit organization with an objective of tackling child poverty.

Employees of Partners Insurance Group, LLC, are putting together a “First Annual Stronger Together Social” event to be held Thursday, September 17, 2015, from 5 to 8 p.m. at The Cove Restaurant, 392 Davol Street, Fall River. Attendees will enjoy a wonderful evening on the water, hors d’oeuvres, and the knowledge that they are helping to benefit a great organization. Tickets are on sale at each of the Partners locations. Cost to attend the event is $50.00 per person.

Gifts To Give operates from their philanthropy factory. It’s a former golf ball factory where now thousands of volunteers process donated children’s gear that is recycled, re-purposed and gifted to local children in need. Gifts to Give is building a community to tackle child poverty. The organization’s mission is to give all SouthCoast young people an opportunity to practice Big Citizenship and Tangible Philanthropy through their gifts of time and treasure. CEO and founder Jim Stevens talks about it in terms of a shared vision which connects a generation of young people to something bigger than themselves. The Philanthropy Factory is located on Titleist Drive in Acushnet, MA. For more information, call 508-717-8715 or visit www.giftstogive.org.

The event is being coordinated at Partners Insurance Group, LLC, by Michelle McDonald, Account Executive, New Business Sales, and Stephen Long, Senior Account Executive. McDonald joined Partners with more than seven years experience in the insurance industry, beginning at Hub International, and serving as an Account Executive there. She is a member of the Massachusetts Association of Insurance Women and involved with many charities such as Healing Little Hearts, SMILES, and Gifts To Give. Long’s background includes having been President of Long and Parent Insurance Agency, and he is a Past President of the Fall River Insurance Agents Association and former Board Member of the Massachusetts Professional Insurance Agents Association. He is a Lantern Society member for the United Way of Greater Fall River.

“We are pleased to be able to help such a great organization in its mission to fight child poverty,” said Lawrence Wilson, Chief Executive Officer of Partners Insurance Group. He added, “Tickets for this event can be purchased at any of the seven locations, and we encourage the community to turn out to support Gifts to Give.”
