Inauguration of Sterlite Copper Inter School Cricket Tournament

THOOTHUKKUDI, India - Aug. 29, 2015 - PRLog -- Sterlite Copper in association with Thoothukudi District Cricket Association is organising ‘Sterlite Copper Inter School Cricket Tournament’ from 27^th August to 5^th September, 2015 in round robin league basis.

The tournament was inaugurated by Mr D Dhanavel, Head - Commercial, Sterlite Copper in presence of Mr V R Sivakumaran, Hon. Secretary, Thoothukudi District Cricket Association on 27^th August, 2015 at VOC Port Trust Ground, Thoothukudi. Sterlite Copper Officials and Thoothukudi District Cricket Association Officials were present in the occasion.

The first match was played between Thoothukudi VOC Port Trust School and BMC School, Millerpuram, Thoothukudi.Afternoon match was played between Vikasa School, Thoothukudi and SDR School, Thoothukudi.

Totally 32 Schools from all over the district are participating in the tournament. The Cricket matches will be held at Four Zones namely Tuticorin, Tiruchendur, Kovilpatti and Vilathikulam. At the end of this tournament, top two teams will be rewarded with cash prizes and rolling trophy
