Royal Neighbors provided funds to 10 organizations - $500 each for a total of $5,000. The charities include programs that provide support for homeless women and their families such as Fans Across America, Turn a New Leaf, House of Refuge, Maggie’s Place and LAPHX, as well as Sunshine Acres, a long-established Christian children’s home in Mesa, and Pappas Kids that provides support for low-income, homeless and at-risk children. Roya Neighbors also selected life-enhancement programs that lift the human spirit including Dogs4vets, that provides support and service dog training for wounded veterans, the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) literacy program, and Arizona Wind Symphony, a volunteer symphony group that performs a variety of concerts at Tempe Center for the Arts. Royal Neighbors of America is based out of Rock Island, IL, but also has an office at 4824 E. Baseline Road, Suite 115 in Mesa.
