About the Author:Now retired, Don Moeller was a Los Angeles high school teacher in the years following the Watts Riots of the mid-1960s, before attending law school at the University of Oregon. Later he became a deputy D.A. in Southern Oregon and was subsequently elected district attorney in a Central Oregon county, a position he left to begin private practice as a trial attorney on the Oregon Coast, where he practiced for 20 years.
