Snell & Wilmer Las Vegas Attorney Robin Perkins Named Editor in Chief

LAS VEGAS - Aug. 27, 2015 - PRLog -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Robin Perkins, an attorney in the firm’s Las Vegas office, has been named editor in chief of the Publications Committee for the Corporate Counsel Committee of the Litigation Section of the American Bar Association (ABA). She began serving her term in August. Perkins previously served as the news and development editor since January 2014.

The Corporate Counsel Committee comprises both in-house and outside counsel with a focus on the unique needs of the lawyers who represent corporations. Active for almost 30 years, the Committee’s mission is to keep its members abreast of the changes in law and regulations and trends that affect in-house clients, to provide a forum where in-house and outside lawyers can have an open dialogue that results in best practices for litigation management and to lead the profession in finding solutions to various professional issues.

In her role as editor in chief, Perkins is responsible for publishing quarterly newsletters, articles, and news and developments pieces; managing the editorial calendar; and developing and overseeing all of the content on the Corporate Counsel Committee’s website. She ensures that the Publications Committee is providing relevant information about cases, trends, and professional issues in the legal industry that is valuable to ABA members and other interested readers.

Perkins is active in both community and industry organizations. In addition to her ABA post, she is a member on the Executive Committee of Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada and serves as its secretary. She is also on the board of directors for The Animal Foundation and a member of the Animal Law Section of the Nevada Bar Association and the Animal Legal Defense Fund.

At Snell & Wilmer, Perkins’ practice is concentrated in business and commercial litigation, with an emphasis in financial services litigation and construction litigation. Specifically, Perkins defends financial institutions in claims involving fraud, bad faith lending, and common law contracts and torts. She pursues and defends claims on behalf of owners and contractors in mechanic’s lien actions, lien priority disputes, delay and impact claims, breach of contract and lease, unjust enrichment and other actions seeking damages in state and federal litigation, arbitration and mediation. Perkins received her J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law and her B.S., magna cum laude, from New York University.
