Law Firm Offers Pro Bono Representation to Anna Duggar

HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. - Aug. 27, 2015 - PRLog -- Heber Springs, Arkansas – August 26, 2015 – Arkansas Attorney, William “Zac” White, a general practitioner with an emphasis in Arkansas domestic relations law, announced today that he is willing to represent Anna Duggar in the appropriate Arkansas State Court in whatever appropriate legal action she wishes to initiate, free of charge.

Domestic relations cases can be expensive and with the media reporting that Mrs. Duggar may lack the support needed in pursuing a legal separation or divorce from her husband, Josh Duggar, White decided to offer his services to Mrs. Duggar pro bono.

White stated, “Mrs. Duggar needs to know that if she needs help there are resources available and people within the Arkansas legal community willing to support her and her family in their time of crisis.  I have handled many domestic relations matters in my career, and in my experience, spousal intimidation and the fear of the unknown increases the risk that an individual spouse (whether male or female) may be subjugated to the psychological, emotional, and/or physical abuse of the other.  Likewise, in my experience this type of environment may pose a greater risk of exposing children to the same type of negative treatment.” White stated further, “In some instances, I have witnessed one spouse’s religious beliefs utilized as a tool of intimidation or abuse against the other spouse.  I have no idea that this is the case for Mrs. Duggar, but she should know that there are legal options and resources available (if necessary) that may very well be compatible with her family’s religious views.”

White, an Arkansas native, former State Senate candidate, and recipient of the Equal Access to Justice Panel Outstanding Volunteer Attorney of the Year Cleburne County 2010 award, has been practicing law in the Heber Springs area for approximately 8 years.  White was admitted to the Florida Bar via a pro hoc vice motion in 2012 to represent Mr. Billy McKnight in his eventually successful efforts to regain custody of his minor son after Malinda McCready fled from the State of Florida to the State of Arkansas.

“I know that this is a very emotional time for Mrs. Duggar and her family. I also understand the sensitive nature of beginning any legal action when children are involved.  The current media reports concerning this matter are disturbing.  However, I have personally witnessed the increased pressure and isolation a family faces in a domestic relations matter in light of the family living a public lifestyle.  This is a deeply personal and traumatic time for Mrs. Duggar and her family.  If she needs help, my firm stands ready to deliver whatever help we can.”
