The Consulate General of Israel opens new premises in Bengaluru

BANGALORE, India - Aug. 27, 2015 - PRLog -- Bengaluru, August 27, 2015: The Consulate General of Israel in Bengaluru announces the opening of its new premises.

The Consulate General of the State of Israel for Southern Indiawas established in Bengaluru in 2013, as the 3rd Israeli diplomatic mission in India (alongside New Delhi and Mumbai). It covers the states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

The Consulate General of Israel in Bengaluru deals with Trade, Consular Affairs, Culture and Public Diplomacy among many other areas in Southern India.

In accordance with the Agriculture Cooperation Agreement signed between India and Israel in 2008, and with the three year work plan finalized between the Ministries of Agriculture in 2011, Indo-Israel agriculture cooperation projects are in various stages of implementation across India. There are five Centers of Excellences already established in our region dealing in the field of horticulture.

“The Consulate General of Israel in Bangalore was established in 2013 with the goal of promoting, among others, trade relations, industrial cooperation and mutual investment between Israel and Southern India. The Consulate has issued more than 1000 visas since July 2014.  Apart from visas, The Consulate has helped to set up 5 horticulture Centers of Excellence throughout the Southernregion of India.

Currently, we are promoting delegationsboth from the government and private sectors, to participate inWATEC—the largest water technologies exhibition in the world which will take place in Tel Aviv between 13- 15 October, 2015.
