Kettlebells 4 Autism - Belching Beaver - Shaper Fundraiser For Surfers Healing

SAN DIEGO - Aug. 26, 2015 - PRLog -- SAN DIEGO – KOR Strength & Conditioning Gym is teaming up with Shaper Surfboards, Belching Beaver, and Kettlebells 4 Autism to host the fundraising event, Surfers Healing. This event will take place August 30 from 4-7pm at the Belching Beaver located at 4223 30th St., San Diego, CA 92104. Proceeds raised during this happy hour event will go to providing people living with autism the unique experience of surfing.

“What if riding the waves meant changing the world?”

Surfers Healing is the original surf camp for children with autism, and we've been serving the community since 1996. Yet what we offer isn't a 'cure', or even 'traditional' therapy. It's a completely different sensation and environment for our participants. We give individuals a chance to encounter the waves, to challenge themselves, to try something new. And even though we had 4,500+ participants at our surf camps last year – and even though autism now affects 1 in 68 US children – we don't think in thousands. Kettlebells 4 Autism fundraises for various organizations that serve the autistic community.  Kettlebells 4 Autism (KB4A) is dedicated to raising awareness about autism through kettlebell training and sport.
