TORONTO - Aug. 26, 2015 - PRLog -- Signifi is now deploying an innovative IT Asset Dispensing Solution (ADS) for managing IT items such as laptops, keyboards, cell phones, and tablets as well as other office supplies. The solution drives efficiencies and inventory controls for corporate IT departments while improving employee productivity.

Signifi’s first Asset dispensing solution was piloted at the U.S. head office of a large pharmaceutical company late last year. Employees order directly through their Ariba supply portal and once notified, would pick up their product at the Dispensing unit using their secure HID staff cards. The integration created a seamless experience for the staff. Aside from gains from cost reduction, improved compliance and reduced security risks, the pilot provided the IT group with an unexpected benefit; The IT department, rarely in the forefront, found a powerful platform to communicate and connect with the employees through the unit.

The automated ADS has many of same features as Signifi’s other retail solutions that use robotics to dispense products gently with ability to handle various shapes and sizes from cell phones to large laptops. For smaller items or for offices where space is limited, Signifi offers a compact rotary smart locker that holds up to 92 separate and unique SKU’s.

Asset Management is defined by Wikipedia as the “… optimal management of the physical assets of an organization to maximize value.” Markets and Markets forecasts the global Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Market to grow from $2.48 Billion in 2013 to $4.23 Billion in 2019.
