LANCASTER, Pa. - Aug. 26, 2015 - PRLog -- Magnolias of Lancaster will host a spaghetti dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. at the senior living community located at 1870 Rohrerstown Road in Lancaster.

The $10 donation will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association as part of Magnolias of Lancaster’s participation in the upcoming Walk to End Alzheimer’s on September 26 at Clipper Stadium.

“This is our fourth year of holding this event,” said Diana Teijaro, Memory Care Program Coordinator at Magnolias of Lancaster. “Each year it gets a little better. Last year we raised $400. Our RSVPs are already at nearly 50 people, and we typically get a nice walk-up crowd.”

Teijaro said the dinner benefits a cause that has special meaning to Magnolias of Lancaster team members, residents and their families.

“This is for the Alzheimer’s Association,” she said. “This is our work, but we would love nothing more than to see Alzheimer’s and dementia eliminated from the book of illnesses. The Alzheimer’s Association does a ton of great work.”

Teijaro said the event will be staffed by numerous volunteers and team members. She said a highlight is “Joanne’s famous spaghetti sauce,” which is made from a recipe of Joanne Richards, Food Service Director at Magnolias of Lancaster.
