Visual Paradigm 12.2 Introduces Resource Catalog

Aug. 26, 2015 - PRLog -- Resource-Centric Interface is a diagram editing feature exclusively designed by Visual Paradigm. It allows quick creation and connection of shapes using tiny action icons, known as resource icons. Resource-Centric Interface has long been the most prominent and symbolic feature of Visual Paradigm. In version 12.2, Visual Paradigm has enhanced this feature by introducing the Resource Catalog.

Unlike the Resource-Centric interface, which presents a set of icons surrounding a shape, Resource Catalog presents just a single icon that appears on the top right of a shape. Users can create a shape by dragging out that icon and choose which shape to create from the popup catalog panel. According to Visual Paradigm, the introduction of Resource Catalog aims to make the entire editing environment much cleaner by presenting just one action icon on the interface. When presenting a design user will no longer be interfered by icons that appears when moving the mouse cursor around. Audience can also see the diagram content clearly without any visual distraction.

Resource Catalog also records the frequency at which the resource icons are being used. Users can always access the most frequently used resource quickly, which makes editing much more efficient.
