Flux Night 2015: Dream curated by Nato Thompson of Creative Time

By: Flux Projects

ATLANTA - Aug. 25, 2015 - PRLog -- This fall, audiences are invited to join Flux Projects and curator Nato Thompson center stage on Auburn and Edgewood Avenues, where art, technology and (a little bit of) magic will intersect for one night only to transform the historic Old Fourth Ward into Atlanta’s largest outdoor public art gallery, Flux Night 2015: Dream.

WHAT Presented by Flux Projects, Flux Night 2015: Dream is a one-night event that brings site-specific visual and performance art to Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward and is expected to welcome more than 20,000 attendees to experience the outdoor temporary art installations. Held in the historic neighborhood that is the birthplace of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Flux Night 2015 is inspired by one of the 20th century’s most germane leaders, whose call to action still rings true today. The site offers a unique context for this year’s audience to consider the artworks. Indeed, given the current social and political climate in the United States, Flux Night 2015: Dream is, more than ever, art for now.
