PORTLAND, Ore. - Aug. 25, 2015 - PRLog -- Award-winning author Deborah Hopkinson is celebrating the release of her new nonfiction book, Courage & Defiance: Stories of Spies, Saboteurs and Survivors in WWII Denmark, with a blog tour September 4-25, 2015. Blog tours allow authors/illustrators, students, educators and book lovers to connect “virtually” through interviews on websites, podcasts, blog sites and on-line radio shows.

“The Danish resistance was very much a unique, grass-roots effort. It’s an incredible story of ordinary citizens doing extraordinary things, including acts of sabotage and the rescue of more than 7,000 Danish Jews,” said Hopkinson, of this first of three nonfiction titles about World War II for upper elementary and middle school readers. “I think young readers today can relate to making difficult personal choices and I hope this little-known story inspires them to learn more about the past.”
