PhyMed Names Weaver Senior Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Aug. 25, 2015 - PRLog -- PhyMed Healthcare Group (http://www.phymed.com/), a physician-owned practice management company specializing in anesthesia, pain management and critical care, has named Michael D. Weaver as senior vice president of mergers and acquisitions. Weaver will be responsible for providing strategic oversight and guidance as PhyMed healthcare continues to expand its footprint.

Weaver will partner with the CEO, board of directors and senior management on acquisition and strategic initiatives and will oversee the end-to-end acquisition process for the company. Leveraging his experience leading large-scale M&A in ambulatory and outpatient sectors, he will lead long-term strategic planning for PhyMed’s business development efforts to continuously analyze new markets and growth opportunities for the company.

Having most recently served as the chief development officer at Dow Healthcare, Weaver has more than 20 years of experience in heading development and negotiations for multi-million dollar healthcare transactions. He was the senior director of outpatient services development at Tenet Healthcare Corporation, Inc., and has also held leadership positions at Sheridan Healthcorp, Vanguard Health Systems, Inc., and Symbion Healthcare, Inc.

Weaver earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University and completed graduate studies in Finance at Christ Church College at Oxford University. He is a graduate of the TenTenet Leadership Academy, a 15-month leadership development education program and is a nationally recognized speaker.
