DUBAI HEALTHCARE CITY, UAE - Aug. 23, 2015 - PRLog -- The International Medical Travel Conference and Exhibition (IMTEC) returns to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on 7-8 October 2015. Previously hosted in Monte Carlo and Dubai, the 3rd edition of the medical travel event will cover 1,200sqm of exhibition space and with more than 100 exhibitors from 80 countries, as well as 50 speakers and 2000 attendees, all under one roof. It was the destination for leaders and thinkers in the medical travel arena to learn and discuss the latest developments in the medical travel market.

IMTEC is organised by Informa Life Sciences Exhibitions, the organisers of the world’s second largest healthcare exhibition ‘Arab Health’. It will be a two-day conference and exhibition that will bring together consumers and service providers in the global medical tourism industry to the Middle East.

According to Simon Page, Managing Director, Informa Life Sciences Exhibitions: “IMTEC provides a global platform for medical travel professionals and continues to bring together the facilitators, decision-makers and thought leaders for maximum interaction and meeting opportunities that serve the entire medical tourism value chain.”

IMTEC will once again hosts the CMT Programme that ensures exhibitors receive substantial networking opportunities with qualified investors in overseas patient care. A Commissioner of Medical Travel (CMT) is an individual responsible for transferring patients from one country to another for medical treatment. CMTs are typically representatives of government, insurance, armed forces, travel industries and patient transfer and facilitation services.

Once again, IMTEC provides a neutral platform to discuss topical issues faced by the full spectrum of professionals in the medical travel industry. “This year, we intend to propel the industry forward by incorporating more discussions on topics such as how to improve profitability, tips for becoming a premier medical travel destination and discussion on how the new insurance and compensation models can revolutionise the way every hospital in medical travel operates,” says Page.
