WOCNCB® announces its newest certification

Wound Treatment Associate (WTA-C) will be available in Fall 2015

MILWAUKEE - Aug. 21, 2015 - PRLog -- Milwaukee, WI - August 21, 2015 - The Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB®) is pleased to offer its newest certification, Certified Wound Treatment Associate (WTA-C). This new certification will help meet the increased demand for an expanded practice level of wound care providers. WTA-C displays WOCNCB’s continuing commitment to provide the highest level of certification to wound care nurses within this rapidly evolving field.

Through this certification, an LPN or RN will be well suited to assist existing wound care providers in delivering efficient, cost effective care. Registration is currently available with the first exams being available in Fall 2015. Those who register by February 29, 2016 are eligible to receive a $100 rebate.  Candidates must have completed the Wound Treatment Associate education program offered by the WOCN® Society, in addition to 16 supervised clinical wound hours.
